This book is great for teaching very young children the importance of "please" and "thank you" with fun pictures and short statements to keep their interest. Good buy.
It is a little complex for my two-year old, but I like it. So far, he enjoys the illustrations but cannot follow up the story. As he gets older, I'm sure this book will be another favorite.
My children had this same book. Call me 'nostalgic', but I simply had to buy this book for my Granddaughter, age 3, also. I have always loved all Richard Scarry book and love the animals he illustrates, espeically Lowly Worm. :)
I have used other books to teach my 3 yr old manners (such as Dora's Book of Manners etc) however this book has really helped my son understand much more than just "please" and "thank you". The book even goes into "whining pests". It is great.
I PURCHASED FOR MY 2 YEAR OLD GRANDSON. I THOUGHT IT WAS A LITTLE TO OLD FOR HIM. IT HAD A LOT OF WORDS AND YOU KNOW TODDLERS DON'T SIT STILL FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. IT IS A GOOD BOOK BUT FOR OLDER TODDLERS.
